An interesting comic.
This is a variant of a saying I read once.
I believe it went "To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world".
In this case, Doom doesn't have to be a hero to everyone. He can just be Valentine's hero.
I take it Valentine underestimates how strong she is, which is why she often throws Doom off balance?

I originally considered making a fantasy style story, where the main character uses his abilities to defend the town, but with that kind of personality, he's not fit for the job. I only write comedy and day to day comics now. Lately I found that I can use my angel characters for action and fantasy.
Valentine has a heavy body and strong legs, so she can be a bit hard to hold up when she leans against him.

I gathered what your intent for your character was, aside from not being suitable for the task.
Would that have meant he would've lost his sword and cloak? Or did you not plan that far?
