Seeing a new Genshin Summer fan art contest inspired me to make a sequel drawing to my Ladies Summer Picnic drawing from a previous Genshin Summer fan art contest (which won me a prize) to bring me good luck. www.deviantart.com/doommistres…
It’s cool seeing how much I’ve changed since then.
I was also inspired by classic styles of painting such as the symbolism and romantic movements, leaning more into even surreal visual story telling.
Fun fact, I didn’t know when I started planning my drawing that Eula and Collei were going to feature in the in-game summer event, I just wanted to draw Amber and her friends.
