The point of this picture is to show that is not worth being jelaous of Revan. I mean, he was a promising student, but, when you really think about it, was he happy? Studying, practising... all those things must have took a lot of his free time, and in the end, did he might wanted something more?Art(c)

I guess Revan was very ambitious and brash, which fits his gifts well--geniuses can be very brash from what I know.
Revan definitely was too eager in his youth IMO, maybe he learned something of being patient from his adventures by the end of KOTOR2, wherever he was then. In that regard, he's a bit like Luke Skywalker, at least from what the SW Wikia site says.
