Originally this gingerbread house was simple white and shades of green, however my Chef questioned the marketable qualities of a house that looked like something for the Saskatchewan roughriders and suggested I added some contrast. I LIKE green and white, but I added some red royal icing to make him happy, and boost my mark. All of this is edible however the trees are tinfoil cones underneath the royal icing.Related content

Yes, Chef Bauman was adamant on the finer points of merchandising. Though seeing before and after pictures, I guess I feel a bit better about it
