I know this is a lot to ask, but if you could spare a moment and check out some of my recent work, I would really appreciate a critique. This is what I aspire to, and I'm not sure where I'm... going wrong as it were. Any tips and tricks would just make my day. Amazing work.

Well, a tip that I can give is not to be afraid to look for references, be it anatomy, lighting, color palette, and fashion. Devour old and new artist's works and study them. Also, study about natural lighting, it's very important.
Practice your pencil drawing helps a lot, too! Practice till you get the anatomy and form right. Don't make lazy, incorrect lines.
Take inspiration from statues, figures, music, installation art, nature, anything! Expand your visual library, be curious about how different material have different texture and different way to reflect light, browse about many many types of armor (both practical and fancy ones), and also take a close look at some building structures in various eras).
I know it's very common, but it helps you to build a strong core for further fancy paintings. Hope it helps

I've just started a new piece and am trying to branch out and do some things I haven't before. I'm actually really surprised and thrilled that you responded to me! I've reached out to other artists I admire before but most do not respond, likely due to a massive influx of fan comments and messages, which is understandable. Thank you so much for your tips! When you do artwork like this, do you design the armor the character is wearing, or is that done in like a style guide?

Well, for Legend of the Cryptids, they only give us the big picture, and the rest is our freedom to design 😁

Ah okay. Well then I gotta say, nice armor on this lady. It's really cool looking.
I didn't wanna say "hey nice thing" and then that just is a recreation from the style guide. That'd be like saying "Nice design of Liliana's dress." That's true, it's a nice design sure, but you didn't exactly design her dress, you recreated it in your artwork. But heck you did do a very good job of that, so one could say "Nice execution of that design." Do you prefer it this way where they leave you the creative space to get the big picture and the details are yours, or stuff like Magic where they are looking for a specific thing done a certain way?
