Indeed, I don't know much about it, but... has to use some kind of adhesive substance that comes in contact with the wearer's skin. So, same difference - unless I'm missing something.

...No, it's a tattoo. The ink is literally injected into the skin permanently. That's how tattoos work. Perhaps you were thinking of the temporary stick on tattoos people give to children? Getting a tattoo is usually a very painful process, and the subject bleeds for a bit and the skin has to usually heal,and then peels before finally healed, but the ink is literally in the skin potentially forever. Hence why I imagine most inks would...have. To be skin safe.

Still, the skill here is amazing. The artist is very talented.
