Description
This is a drawing I've made for a friend of mine who's moving to England (the one in the middle of us). I'm the one who's painting on the tree.I hope she is not going to look at my deviantpage until Saturday, because then I'll give it to her at a 'farewell party' (?)
I'm not a fan of the background but I had to make one because otherwise it would look weird if I'd give it to her with a white background..
Man, it's so annoying that my sister and I have dark hair because I can barely shade it on my computer. Now I see that our hair stands out whuuu :C

Very charming!
A little tip about shading dark hair. If you want to make it look more alive, apply some lighting to it instead.
Or colour the hair in a very dark grey, and shade it in black.

The problem is that I can barely see the differece between e.g. dark grey and black D: Thaanks, I can use the lightning tip

If you use pure black lineart on one layer, and dark grey hair colour on another layer, it would help to differentiate. At least for me it does.
