This is also happened in Superhero Movie where the main character Dragonfly wears a black stuff behind his green spandex cowl just like Batman did in this comic

Yes, it had occured to me when I was watching Batman (1989) a couple weeks ago--"Does he take the time to paint around his eyes, since it's black all around them....?" Great comic!!

^___^ Then, if you watch the second movie (Batman Returns) you'll notice that, for the scene where he unmasks for Catwoman, he did NOT paint around his eyes! That's what clinched the comic for me. ^__^

Well...it wasn't exactly a goof, persay. At least, I think they meant to do it that way. Since he was taking off the mask in an uncut scene, they didn't want the paint still there after the mask was off. So, they opted to shoot the scene unpainted instead of cutting the scene or digitally touching it up. This was a about 15 years ago, after all. *grins*
