Yay *Dance*

.... *Ahem* Apologies, my love for Edmund Pevensie just got the better of me...

He is the best King seriously, Peter is too perfect and everyone loves him and nah nah nah... Blegh! (I sound like a child XD) Lucy and Edmund are 100% better than their older siblings, C.S Lewis went into so much depth with Ed and Lucy but so little with Peter and Susan (Susan was just written off as an airheaded vain girl obsessed with make-up, which was never true and quite randomly put in if I'm honest)

Edmund is winter, I'm thinking of a fic where he inherits Jadis' powers when he is stabbed by her broken wand- seriously, he gets stabbed seconds after, not all the magic could be gone by then surely?

Anyways, I do love anything where Edmund has two swords: something about it makes him more epic in my eyes XD

Yay Ed! I love this. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught that "I'm smiling" line. Because it was my favorite line from the whole thing, and whenever I mention it to my buddies all I get is blank stares.

I agree that Ed was the best. Though... I have to say... Caspian came in pretty darn close!! I saw it 3 times in the four days following it's australian release, and i still love it to bits. Best movie i've seen in a long while!!

Loved the wall paper - definately my new background!! I love the middle one the best.

Love Bundi

haha oh caspian... yeah he was most certainly one of the main reasons i went to see the movie
but my second third and fourth times were all for Ed.

i agree it was a best movie I have seen in a while.

I freaking love edmund! Well his character anyways. Actually no, i love skandar too OOoooo I was reading some of your other comments and Lucy falls for Caspian? awww that is so totally cute. I cannot belive how i forgot all this, I've read all of the books. Maybe it's because I read like 5 years ago...but anyways very cute wallpaper and i faved it because edmund ish so adorable and so ish the wallpaper. <3

And I completely agree with you on teh whole not liking Susan too much thing and loving Lucy thing. But you know, it did look pretty kool when she was shoooting all those bad guys. I dunno too Im not really a fan of Peter Pevensie either. He's such a hothead. But William is cutein real life so i guess it cancels it out and he's neutral.

i just watched it today, it was totally amazing, the fight between peter and the king was sooo amazingly shot, and the battles were done so well, cause usually battles in movies suck bottom *coughlordoftheringscough*

DottyDrama In reply to jason65 [2008-05-18 00:38:21 +0000 UTC]

I know !!! the battle was simply enthralling
the whole slow motion thing was soooo well done
I was biting my nails off
and I really love the way they didn't have blood flying everywhere
( partly because its a kids movie i suppose )
but it just put more focua on the moves and the fighting rather than how many times this dude got stabbed till he bleeded to death. ( yes I said bleeded because I rock.)
oh and susan kicking butt with her arrows and bow was so cool
Girl Power heya

i know, shes such a strong female lead. im so glad she didnt stay with caspian she proved that shes not one of those bambling idiot female leads who swoons when action hero man walks in to save her from evil, shes no damsel in distress, thats for sure, and i especially liked that their was no blood for the fact that i brought a seven and a five year old to see it with me, but it was kinda funny when they would get hit in the leg with a sword and die, even if they were wearing armour haha

DottyDrama In reply to jason65 [2008-05-19 21:26:54 +0000 UTC]

yeah but thats pretty much the only cool thing about susan, i actually don't really like her
partly of what she becomes in the books... but she's also kinda boring one emotion .. robotic...
Lucy has always been and will always be my fav character
but then again I am strongly influenced by the books.

yeah I know, no blood= good for kids
EXCEPT for the fact that the part with the hag bird thing and the were=wolf scares the CRAP out of me !
I dont know how kids handle that !
I had to cover my eyes when she was drawing the circle
*shivers* uuuggggh creepy bird thing haunts my nightmares.

i know right! they were creepy beasts, what was the point anyways, they came out of nowhere and died a minute later, i thought it was kinda random. but yeayh, i find it nice when female leads in movies arent whiny little pissoffs, and usually when they do that, they just make them look butch, but i think susan had a good balance

DottyDrama In reply to jason65 [2008-05-20 06:32:08 +0000 UTC]

yeah I guess
but i don't like her macken on caspian
so I'm glad she went home!
*gollum voice* and she's never coming back!

Princess Starlight/ Caspian Forever !

... and a little lucy/ caspian because i love how lucy loves him in VoftheDT

anyways gah last night i had a dream and the bird thing layed an egg which then hatched and it was a little bird thing and it was all like "circlesssssss"
and I was all like woah.
I really need to lay off the Movie Overload.
too much caspian movie-ness my imagination is going to shut down.

The whole was...
if I had to choose one word.
Intense.
I mean I knew what was going to happen but I was still biting my nails and gasping out loud
I liked it. though thinking about it now the fighting got a little long
but w/e
what did you think?

annnd Prince caspian is, I won't lie, a bodacious babe
but his character was a little off the mark for me
Peter is... heroic and noble but I find him a little redundent and boring
and everyone loves peter anyways so i'm like meeeeehhh
if thats what you meant when you said prince caspain and peter ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Crepuscularia In reply to DottyDrama [2008-05-19 00:45:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, you've obviously thought about this!
I am one of those Peter lovers and Caspian lovers, I took it at face value for the movie itself b/c it's been so long since I read them...I dunno I guess it's like the books and movies are two separate things...

DottyDrama In reply to Crepuscularia [2008-05-19 00:49:23 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i think you have to treat most movies based on books like that right ?
cause movies just can't be like books, so you'll always most likly be disappointed in a movie based on a book you like because it can't be like your imagination.

Crepuscularia In reply to DottyDrama [2008-05-19 17:31:30 +0000 UTC]

Precisely!
The movie was still good, my friend is slightly obsessed now, she's seen it two times in like three days...and is planning to see it again next weekend!

lol your friend and I have something in common then
I'm a bit obsessed myself, i've seen it twice as well and probably again today or tomorrow
which is going to over kill it probably lol
But oh well
