Mickey is playing big brother for Minnie.Lucky for Minnie that he warmed up to her while also putting her in her place.Β Our other cat Rosie is not that welcoming. Our dog Doc is a bit wary, but the two have figured out what's acceptable behaviour.

I think Mickey doesn't always think the little one is sweet.Β At least by now he is fighting back when he's had enough of her.

Yes it is nice, though the horses on top of the cats and dog take up quite a bit of time every day.

Didnβt know your other cat was named Minnie, but her name and Mickeyβs now make sense because I see how ironic those names are.

It took us a bit to come up with a name that was agreeable by the whole family...
For Mickey the reasoning had been that he is grey like a mouse, so Mickey Mouse came to mind which was shortened to Mickey.Β There were all sorts of fancy names proposed for the little one, but I kept vetoing as too long, not easily pronounceable etc.Β So her grey colour came into play as well and being a girl Minnie sounded like a good choice to go with Mickey.
Poor Rosie is now left with a name that's not a main character in the Mickey Mouse comics, on the other hand she doesn't really care much about the other cats, so that's probably just as well...
