This was a request sent in from Riboo who wanted a picture of Raichu.Well, here's a Raichu, I hope you like. I like how the background came out and the lighting. Enjoy.

Commenting on behaf of ´s tag line. My tag word was shine, so I decided to commen on this picture which shows Raichu´s shining lightning.
What I like about this picture is very good shading and colouring. I think that Raichu´s fur loooks good here and that you drawed shadows on it nicely. I also like how you drawed the expression, I think that Raichu looks pretty determined here.
I think that lightning sparks on Raichu´s cheeks could be improved. Compared to rest of drawing, which is coloured really thoughtfully, those sparks look very simple, like quick sketches. You can get inspired by how other artists draw lightning, or check references of real lightning photos:

As you can see, lightning is usually thicker on the beginning and then as it continues, it´s a bit thinner. It´s also not so straight as some parts of your lightning here.
Overall expression is good. You drawed Raichu well, capturing all main features of the character. I think that background fits to Raichu well and that overall picture looks well done.

Yeah. I always keep my Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow and always catch one in Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Red.
