I watched some of Inspector Gadget episodes first time in a very long time and remembered how awfully stupid Gadget is and the poor doggie always do the hardest work..

They made a new series, it apparently takes place after the first or something like that. It kind of has an cartoonish atmosphere similar to its predecessor with a tiny modern flare.

I love this popular Canadian cartoon, Inspector Gadget! It's one of my most favourite cartoons of all time. I watched it for the first time when I was very small and I thought it was very good and funny.
My favourite characters are Gadget, Penny and Brain and my favourite villain is Dr. Claw as well.
I have it on DVD as 4 Disc Bumper Box Set and I bought it from HMV in January last year.

penny does everything and inspector gadget's involvement pretty much amount to "chase after brain, crash into something important for the bad guy"
gadget's IQ in this pretty much amounts to 0. he never recognize brain, even if the only difference is that the dog ends up with flippers on his paws.

With all those gadgets in his head, they didn't have much room for the brain. So they transplanted it into the dog, and now you know why they called him Brain. (I didn't even think of that joke, it just sort of wrote itself.)
