This example is a perfectly kept old airplane, a joy to paint.

Wonderful! It's nice to see you giving some vintage civvies your magic touch with a brush. Once again, you have reproduced that polished aluminium to an exceptional standard!Β

Thank you, Daniel. This airplane is kept almost as brand new...it was fun to paint.

I'm sure you would do a wonderful job if you were ever to do so.
de Havilland happen to be from my neck of the woods, and I still live within ten miles of Hatfield where one of their major factories and airfields was located. As such I have always had a soft spot for their designs and the DH.88 Comet for me in particular has always stood out as being among the most beautiful and unique aircraft in their stable, which is why I asked. I am particularly fortunate in the fact that the sole original example of just five ever built, is still maintained in airworthy condition at the Shuttleworth Collection in Bedfordshire, no more than fifty miles from where I live. I have the great pleasure to regularly see her perform.Β
