Seeing Souichirou/Voltaire there threw me off. ._.
The transition from surprise and just barely visible vulnerability in the first panel to what could be wariness and desperation veiled behind an adamant and strong gesture (throwing/shouldering the person off, be they real or perceived) in the second panel was used to great effect here. The difference in expressions is pretty vast.
Then the addition of the third panel depicting Kai somewhat distracted (?) from the Beybattle but Dranzer still holding her own against Dragoon - if she isn't dominating the dragon - even with her 'blader turned away from the stadium makes a pretty good statement, showing just how strong a bitbeast she is.
I apologize if my statements aren't making any sense; I'm still high from job training earlier today

He's...hm... nice, but VERY strict and one hell of a perfectionist. He views clocking in at 5AM for the 5AM shift as 'tardy', which is a point against you. o_O; But for the most part's he's a nice guy, really.
