Thank you for your comment. Glad you like it It has been a very stressful year but we will work it out. We had to buy hay (1st time ever) and still have some decisions to make as to how much of the herd we will sell off.

It has not been a good year Helen. We had to buy our hay this year (we have always had enough of our own). All of our hay land (320 acres) was flooded, some of it is still under water and the road to get there is still impassible. It doesn't look good for next year either as the level of the lake is still very high. We will probably be reducing the herd as we don't have enough hay to keep them all over winter.

They are doing some diking but only where residences are in danger. We are very fortunate that where our house is the elevation is high enough not to have to worry about the water, which was luckier than some. Thank you for your kind wishes Helen.
