Happy belated birthday! it wouldn't be a gift from me if it wasn't late right? ahaha....ANYWAY
This is Sky as a human, based off of Star's human design for Sky >w<
I hope you like it Star!
I started this a long time ago close to your birthday but for whatever reason it was left as a sketch for a long time. I started a new sketch with the Witch characters but the composition just wasn't working out so I cam back to this one again after a long break.
The colors were originally gonna be blue and green with a little pink, but then it became orange and purple and green TwT; whoops. I think the blue/green would have made a more peaceful feeling, but I kinda like the juxtaposition of the harsher colors with Sky's personality. She's such a peaceful character, but the world she lives in tends to be quite chaotic and violent, so maybe the colors work???
I don't know ahah, but I hope you like it even though it's a little different star! >w<

I use a layer mode called overlay to help me balance the hues though ahah

Okay, I'm calm now. The background is absolutely gorgeous, the way you used the warm colors (I love that peach sky and water) and the cool colors (that tree is so pretty! The purple is a lovely hue!) work so well together that they give a contrast but somehow mix together too~ It's hard to imagine what it would have been like with your original incarnation with the blue and green (even if they are Air Empire's colors) but the color scheme is extremely stunning and still gives that calm view that you'd see at an early morning or a sunset.
Moving away from the background, I love the pose! Sky looks so relaxed and at peace with her sitting like that with her hand out, which is true when you say is quite a contrast to the violent world the characters of EBC normally are in, so lovely contrast! It's amazing! I think my two favorite things about how you drew Sky are the accessories you gave and her hair~ it's so gorgeous! (I think I said gorgeous quite a bit here already haha)
The sandals and wristbands somewhat remind me of stripes on a tiger, which is very appropriate to a humanized version of a tiger, so props for that!
The hair is so elegant and I adore how much detail is in her bun, with the little layers of hair overlapping each other to the tucked strands and- it's all gorgeous! So so so gorgeous!

I'm not really sure why I didn't do the blue and green, I was just really drawn to the orangy color I for some reason when I went to color the sky and water. But I'm glad if you like the colors >w<
for whatever reason I've just really been liking orange ahah
I really do like the pose too hehe ^^ In the first sketch she was actually making a daisy chain or something, but I found the positioning of her arms to closed and opted for the little petals instead. She looks more relaxed that way.
For the hair I searched "braided bun" on google and referenced those photos.
Ohhhh and I didn't even think about the stripe thing xD
If I had realized that I would have added some bands and stuff on her arms xD
