Description That's what makes me clumsy:
The absence of pleasure.
(Quote from the movie "Der Himmel ΓΌber Berlin" ["Wings of Desire", translated literally as "The Heavens Over Berlin"] by Wim Wenders)

Alternative title (for East Germans only): "Erichs Lampenladen 2.0"
Taken at the main station, Berlin (Germany).
Paying homage to *sycamores-and-cedars .

In erster Linie jede Menge Dreck.

Vielen Dank, Diet!

this one looks like a still from some forgotten experimental silent movie . At that time , fin de siecle , they believed it was possible to picture souls in the ways of filmatography

Thank you for this very interesting comment. Certainly another proof for who interpretable abstract artwork can be.

DpressedSoul In reply to NuMetalWolf [2013-01-26 22:09:55 +0000 UTC]

It's quite easy. I sat in a cafe at the main station in Berlin and saw the reflections of the lamps in the dirty windows. Couldn't resist to take a photo.

A bleak, yet beautiful, aesthetic; a powerful and intimate narrative. This is one of my favourites of yours, for sure.

As a side note, I can certainly relate to your plea for the use of special characters in titles! I run into this issue a lot when I am choosing Northumbrian language titles. It'll never happen while the deviation name appears in the URL, unfortunately.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DpressedSoul In reply to arctoa [2013-01-21 13:25:46 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much, Darren. This particular piece was mostly inspired by *sycamores-and-cedars , but also by the lingering sound of the Alternative 4 concert that I had visited two days before.

I still don't get it, because it's a popular request from many deviants (not only concerning umlauts, but also diacritical signs) and it works on other sites as well, even if the name of the image appears in the URL (e. g. on Shadowness). I've mentioned it numerous times in the comments below the official post about site updates and got told that they're working on it. But that was already one year ago.
