The "i" isn't really missing, is it?
You've dedicated it to Mia (plus 3 eyes),
though Miiia has 4 "i"s (eyes) -- in English,
"four eyes" is someone who wears glasses.
Three eyes would be someone who takes
pictures through a lens (without glasses).
But my take on this is from the I Ching. What
you have here isn't 3 (III), but the Hexagram
for HEAVEN/Creative/Yang. It makes sense
that it is white on black and that it is on the
right (and not the top, where it's usually put
among the 8 gua) because of the "spin" of time.
It looks like an urban scene, but since there are
no size cues, it could be the cosmos -- pinpoints
of light (stars) and the blur of light (galaxies) forming
out of nothingness. That is ch'ien in the I Ching.
Of course, if we apply this to III, that gives us
the Trinity, which is the mulifarious expression
of God, the creative first mover. Threefold light
of Yang giving birth to stars, but very gently in this
case. (Or is it the final remnants of III as the
universe turns to darkness -- dark matter and
dark energy?)
Three strikes and you're out, but the third time is a charm...

I meant you walk near the limit between uploading a good image and just uploading a black square. You've shown us a perfect use of just three lines of light and little spots around a black square. It's not easy to spect than many users would agree with you that this image is a good one to upload because it's so near to the black square.
Anyway, i think it's a very good image, maybe the final selected of a whole great work. And when someone reaches a caption with so less light with a technique of capturing light, i always think that this someone is a master.
Also if you take a quicklook to dev's pages you'll notice that this kind of images are not very often found. This III seems a rebel breath. 3 light stripes in the "oftened image wall".
Sorry if my english isn't clear enough. Maybe this will help: the image is more than great.
