No offense meant, but he feels similar to the previous guy.
Maybe it is a problem in an RTS game. In an RTS, units are supposed to be easy to identify considering they are small and there are many of them.
If it was for a FPS, it would be fine if the guys felt that similar. But for a RTS, I think you should rework this design.

Very good observation. We discussed that already. Indeed his silhouette looks much like the one of the commander. Adjustments have been made. his grappler will look different. But also the engineer will have a handgun only while the commander will carry a standard assault rifle. Also his luggage and technical gizmos will glow in a different way. Thanks for your comment. I'd be curious to see the adjustments when they are done.
Don't hesitate to go full force : apparently, a lot of people actually are sometimes confusing SCVs and Reapers in Starcraft 2 when in the midst of the action.
The designs of those guys may be very different, but they still share some common traits (jetpack, shouderpads) that actually are enough to cause confusion, despite the very different designs.
Of course, the guys with this problem are more people like my dad (who only play RTS casually) than the hardcore crowd, but what I mean is that in an RTS, the more different can be done, the better, I would say.
