Description Basics of the human skull

I hope you can see enough details to put everything together. If not or if you got any questions please ask/comment.
I will try to make better scans next time.
Part 2 next week.

Theese are my works based on the tutorials of Riven Phoenix:
[link] I recommend this DVD Set to everyone who wants to learn how to draw people from his/her imagination. These are the results of all basic practice lessons. I submitted ist so I can review it any time I want. Maybe it helps you, too...

EDIT:
A friend who was interested in my drawings told me that it needs further description for people who don't know what this is. So here it is...

DESCRIPTION

These are study plates of the basic shapes of the human skull. They are scientifically correct... You have to understand it as a way to show the forms of the skull based on rectangles wich are devided into several parts. Follow the lines to see how the skull has to be drawn. Theese shapes are very important. You have to lern them over and over again. you don't need to draw lines every time you draw a picture. You can just make dots and if you have gotten into it, just imagine it.

First picture: Front
Just start with a horizontal line to define the hight of the head. Then devide it (like you can see above) several times to find the width. You can see the rest. The curve that gives the skull this smiling face is the center of the teeth.

Second picture: Side
Draw a sqare and then add a little bit to the left and to the right. Now you can draw the lines...like for the front.

Third picture: 3D Adjustments.
To draw everything in the 3/4 view you have to adjust the formulas a little bit. Think in 3D. Here you can see what the gravity line is. Actualy you have to rotate the formulas for the side view.

People who draw portraits like Leonardo Davinci did it with the Mona Lisa use the formulas to create perfect proprtions and symmetry.

In the next step i will show you how the skull looks like (front side and perspective).
