FUNCTION: Espionage Director, Throttlebot Leader

SUBGROUP: Throttlebots

BIOGRAPHY: Following crucial injuries sustained as a result of the Devouring of Moonbase Two, the Autobot Scout Bumblebee was fully repaired from the ground up. As something of a reward for millennia of dedicated service to the Autobot cause, he was given several upgrades and adopted a new name as soon as he onlined again. The newly-reborn mech, Goldfire, could have retired as a hero with honors after the Unicron Wars concluded, but he chose to continue serving in the Autobot Army as the Espionage Director.
During the Seige of Kolkular, Goldfire was appointed as the head of a covert ops operation intended to pave the way for waiting Autobot forces, including several combiner teams and Assault Force Epsilon, to enter the Decepticon fortress and take it by force. However, Goldfire and his team, consisting of the Iacon Precinct Scout and Reconnaissance Officer Chase, the Saboteur Freeway, the Tracker/Interceptor mech Rollbar, the Surveillance specialist Searchlight, and the Transport specialist Wideload, along with several other mechs and femmes, managed to topple Kolkular in a spectacular strategic victory that completely robbed the Kaonian Capitol of power. The team, known now as the Throttlebots, were celebrated as heroes for many weeks afterward and promptly underwent the Team Bonding process to enhance their effectiveness in battle.
Personality-wise, Goldfire is much more serious, assertive, and mature than he once was and understands that he doesn't need to hero-worship mechs like the late Optimus Prime, Prowl, or Ironhide to be recognized as a boon to the Autobots, and by extension, the whole of Cybertron.
Goldfire has close relationships with many of the high-ranking Autobots and Decepticons still active today, including all of the Autobot Gestalt Teams, most of the High Councilmen, Soundwave, and Optimus Prime.

WEAPONS/ABILITIES: Goldfire is equipped with a silenced Photon Pistol and an EDK Stinger in case of any Decepticon Rebel attacks he may be unlucky enough to encounter. He still carries his old Neutron Assault Rifle from the Great War, but hardly sees any cause fit to use it, for it is a weapon of war that has no place in the time of peace that he desperately holds on to. The Neutron Rifle sits heavily in his subspace, and he views the time he next uses it as the time when the Pax Cybertronica comes to a harsh end.
As a melee weapon, he carries an Elite Scoutman's knife.
Subject has extensive knowledge of infiltration and espionage tactics and is an accomplished leader. His binary connection to the other Throttlebots allows them to communicate faster than the speed of sound, and his eyesight and hearing are still vastly better than any other given Autobot.
Goldfire is approximately 250% more efficient in his fuel use than the next best Throttlebot, Freeway. This allows him to go long periods without needing to consume energy, and also keeps him sharp and observant of his surroundings. His mask contains a rebreather apparatus which allows him to function underwater without needing to vent heat created by his internal workings. During his upgrade process, he had an extensive Special Ops package installed, which includes an improved sensory net in his doorwings, rubber-soled pedes, a cloaking device, and a remote uplink to a Mark-O Orbital Beacon.
Lastly, Goldfire's most interesting trait is his electrum-coated armor. This experimental alloy, developed by the Autobot Geologist Beachcomber in conjunction with the Autobot Metallurgist Swerve, can withstand temperatures ranging from -220 to 680° Fahrenheit. (-140 - 360° Celsius) This armor also renders Goldfire nearly invulnerable to small and medium arms fire and direct melee strikes.

WEAKNESSES: Goldfire exhibits no known physical weaknesses and indeed seems to be in excellent physical and mental health.

LOADOUT:
Silenced Photon Pistol: Fires weaponized laser, quieted by a silencer. A favorite of combatants on both sides before, after, and during the war, the amazingly well-rounded Photon Pistol is easily concealable, reliable, and has aged perfectly since the very first model was smithed.
EDK Stinger: Fires a chaining burst of electricity that can hit multiple enemies at once. Output can be controlled and ranges from a harmless static shock to a deadly explosion. The successor of the EDK Techvolt, this weapon itself was commissioned in honor of Bumblebee. It is normally used for crowd control.
Neutron Assault Rifle: Shoots super-heated neutrons at 50 rounds per second. During the war, this fully upgraded FOC-style gun was Bumblebee's signature weapon, save his integrated stingers. Reliable, lightweight, stable, and with a P.O.K.E Beta attached to the end, there is virtually no downside to this firearm. And yet, it is a weapon of war, unfit to be active in a time of relative peace.
Elite Scoutsman's Knife: A lightweight knife used for covert operations. Though the blade has been made denser than Bumblebee's original Scoutsman's Knife, it's still lighter than most melee weapons available. Excellent for sneak attacks.

Goldfire is much stronger than Bumblebee, and can even arm-wrestle a Titan class into submission. Above average.
Intelligence: 8.5
Years of harsh experience burned facts into Bumblebee's mind, something that is only improved by Goldfire's knowledge of espionage and infiltration tactics. Above average.
Speed: 5.5
Goldfire moves as fluidly as the flames he was named after, but he's not overly fast. Average.
Endurance: 10
The miracle substance electrum covers Goldfire's frame and causes him to be resilient to all forms of abuse. Far above average.
Rank: 8
Goldfire enjoys a moderately high rank as Espionage Director of Northern Cybertron. Above average.
Courage: 10
Goldfire has not lost any of the bravery he had as Bumblebee. If anything, he's gained some. Far above average.
Fireblast/Power: 7
He refuses to use weapons any more destructive than his EDK Stinger. This Tech Spec is by his own choice. Average.
Skill: 8
Goldfire is well acquainted with his chosen functions. Average.
Agility: 8.5
Goldfire retains the agility that Bumblebee had but rarely gets to use it at the desk job he works most of the time in the Decagon. Average.
