‘Kase was leading them north, following the path of the Milky Way in the sky—Tadashi couldn’t help but keep glancing up at the stars spangling the sky. He had never seen this many stars in his life, not in person—sure he’d seen pictures, and sat through planetarium shows, but there was something about actually seeing the sky packed with more stars than you could imagine that put it all in perspective, sobered you up, made you reevaluate everything in the grand scheme of things.

You know that fic I’m having a poll for, the one where I can’t decide on the title? Presenting some art for that fic. Got the actual fic currently titled Safe in Brother’s Wings and the art for it titled My Brother’s Wings, so as you can see, I still haven’t decided on it—I think I’m leaning more towards Safe in Brother’s Wings, but I’ll leave the poll up until the end of the month to be sure.

Moving on—the snippet is from chapter 17 of the fic—wrote that and then couldn’t resist illustrating it. Not sure if I’ll be able to put it on AO3 though, the file’s pretty big. Also not sure if I’ll start posting in February or March—probably March, use February to double down on my active fics (because friends, if I don’t start generating income from my art I’ll be having to get a job this summer ).

Did this with my sketchy style and some of my custom brushes—loved doing the milky way, although I don’t think the file loved me after a while, considering how it started lagging towards the end. Also looked up Californian deserts at night to get some visual ideas, and played around with background and layer effects…not sure if I’ll be able to get those on DeviantArt, the file size is HUGE.

So! Thus far we are 287 pages in and 22 consecutive chapters completed, plus we’ve just broken 130K on this fic—this fic hit me in July, this should tell you how hard it’s been beaning me on the head. Granted, BH6 fanfiction had been hitting me hard all last year—I think the last time fanfic ideas slapped me this hard was with Don’t Starve and Yu-Gi-Oh! before that. I’d say send help, but I’m enjoying myself too much. ;v;/

And was a little on the fence about sharing stuff about this fic (or this fic period), but I reminded myself that I’ve posted similar stuff ( Chaos Creatures, anyone?) and that someone out there will like it, so…join me in nerding about birds.

I also now have a SurveyMonkey poll here—yes this title is driving me that nutty.
