Pictures taken during open heart surgery on my Nikon N50. This is during the insertion of the bypass tubing. All of these shots are taken from the head.
This is actually quite a 'clean' view of things. I used a fast shutter speed in order for the central areas to be exposed but fade the surrounding areas (the whole surgical suite is actually quite bright and I did not want the surrounding areas showing up). With how intense the surgical lights it was not difficult to do. Just so you know I am not a photographer - I just look at these views a lot...
