Nam is pretty excited to tell Fergus about the human she met. But for whatever reason, Fergus doesn't seem too overjoyed. But maybe that's to be expected. Fergus was always really close with Kizzy, and it was extremely hard on him when the human died. Surely he'll be pleased to know that humanity isn't completely extinct, and that his old mentor's legacy lives on, right?Right...?
But then...
Nam hadn't been there the night Kizzy died.
It'd just been him and Fergus....

I keep thinking back to the little class on magic back in thr begining of the comic,This is why I'm glad Fergus didn't step on Pock, he's such a good boy! Blessed child! That'd be so sad!!

Fergus wouldn't have attacked him if Adalaide wasn't flaring up magic and threatening him. Pock on his own would have been okay. He's all loose and nonthreatening. If Fergus tried to step on him, he'd be absolutely floored by the betrayal. Like:
