The names they use to distinguish groups of animals is some of the most fascinating parts of English. When I learned that a group of crows was called a "murder," I tried to find excuses to use that in my speech and in my writing! It makes you wonder where the etymology of these words comes from.

The deep red and black combined with the shadowy visage in the background does more than hint at the death and malevolence of those colors. Being the traditional harbringers of death and carrion, crows already have an evil image in our minds. The bleeding red eyes take it to another level as we sense that bloody murder is closing in on us.

They're fascinating! Maybe it was some dude who got assigned coming up with them haha. Not sure why it's needed, a "group" of anything works for me but it certainly brings an atmosphere

I can almost hear the omnious music haha
