Description "Are you SERIOUS? You can't tie a friggin KNOT? Here, let me do it.."

My original characters! (as in it's NOT me or any existing guy either)

okay so I might've gone a bit overboard with the border n such

I give myself the right to change this if I want to.
ALSO THE HEART IS LAME AND it might just be a little too much... I'm not sure. Just don't take it as OH LOVEYDOVEYPICTURE.. I think it's more like she's all "aw he can't tie a knot, cute!"

Very tender despite the sharp, messy lines, or rather, because of them; they underline the fondness and trust in each other; they get into mischief all the time. The border rocks, too.

I enjoy the "carved" style of this--where the expressions, clothes, and especially the hair are comprised of sharp shapes and lines. You are able to sculpt and buff the edges of these lines, though, to make it realistic and more controlled, so that the clothing seems more rigid and the folds accentuated, so that the characters themselves seem softer and more lively, by comparison.

--At least, that's what I think is happening; it may be that it is just a style that is aesthetically pleasing. I love the effervescent smile and Duchenne smile the girl has : it drips with sweet empathy that could heal almost any wound or hurt feeling. ^w^

I think the heart actually fits into the piece rather well; you certainly melded it with the curvy, vine-like border perfectly, so that it does not stand out. Cute moment piece

Thank you. I've started liking this style more. With the straight lines and edges I think it's easier to focus on the characters WHILE it overall is aesthetically pleasing

Thank you it was lineart on a textured paper! then I "shaded" it in photoshop cs2 with overlay-layers I'm sure you can aquire a similar effect with markers though, actually
