I like your design but can't compare it to D&D designs. In fact, I don't know much about D&D aside from it being a very popular tabletop fantasy game that is somewhat like a cross between chess and cards. Of course I've seen some well-known D&D artworks but not much. All in all I can't say that I'm much into fantasy because I'm extremely picky when it comes to art, books, movies etc.
