Something slightly different...still Pokemon but this time not for PKMNation. I've been wanting to do a sort of comic strip/general drawings about my Pokemon teams but I never picture them as having a trainer, they just wander around as 6 buddies (or not). So I figured I could do a slight re-imagining of the Pokemon world with a more mystery dungeon sort of feel. As such, I am changing all of the NPC characters into their most suitable Pokemon.

:bulletgrey: Brock as Onix. I took his hair colour and made it a bit lighter and greyer to match Onix. His head crest is the most drastic change obviously but I figured, all Pokemon are going to be different even if they're from the same species. Maybe they have tons of different crest types right? The marking on the front of the second rock is from his HGSS t-shirt design.

Misty as Starmie. This was slightly difficult. I flipped her top three points to the side like her hairstyles always do. The gem in the middle is her hair colour orange instead of pink, and the blue markings and flipflops are from her HGSS design. I think she should probably be a skinnier star but I like the chubby limbs haha

Lt.Surge as Raichu. Duh. His main colour is a lot lighter, closer to his human hair colour. His socks reach to his knees like his boots would.

Erika as Tangela. This one was hard to choose. Both her Victreebel and Vileplume are the same level and same types. I always think of Vileplume as being her main for some reason but since it's actually tied I was at a loss...so I just figured poor unappreciated Tangela was as good a choice as any. Tried to style the vines slightly like her hair.

Koga as Crobat. This is actually his '2 years later' main but I really think that Crobat is a MUCH better match for him than Weezing. And since he's in the E4 by the time Janine becomes gym leader I thought it'd be cool. I like his eyebrows haha

Janine as Venomoth. Aha she's so cute, one of my favourite female gym leaders. Maybe. Her colours are a lot more vibrant than normal Venomoths because I was trying to match colours from her normal self. So they're a mid way set of colours.

Sabrina as Alakazam. She's awesome in HGSS too. I don't like her design before that Anyway, I didn't succeed as well as I'd hoped here. Her cheek and tash fur point upwards the same as her hairstyle, her purple markings are blue instead, and she has those bracelets. Not as impressive as she could be.

Blaine as Arcanine. I guess I just liked stylising his fur into a tash

Giovanni as Rhydon. Hmmm I actually REALLY wanted to draw him as Kangaskhan, but since it's exclusively female and not ground type I opted to go for him main gym fighter instead. Though I guess it'd make for a fun plot twist if he just took off his horn and rubbed off the make-up and turned out to be a Kangaskhan all along! Haha This one was difficult to do at any rate. If it wasn't for the R on his chest you'd never know it was him. I'll try harder next time! also does anyone else think Giovanni looks like the 9th Doctor?
