due to Sin's seal and no host, Sin's leak of energy slowed to a halt as a means to preserve itself. however there was still a secret lake of raw Shade energy and the Sinners use this supply wisely. to better save their supply they stole Ryo's cloning technology and found a piece of Graegar's broken horn from when he was tortured and combined the two with some of Sin's essence to create these half-Shade abominations. the Half-Breeds are mutant half Shade clones of Graegar and others who's DNA the Sinners are able to collect to cut the cost of creating Shade. these monsters have all the assimilative powers of the Shade and the more they consume the more the Shade part's mass spreads over the clone in a parasitic union.
