If you right-click on the flag at the bottom-right, a little menu with four options should pop up. The Second one is "Come Here" and clicking that will make the shimeji run over and sit down, then just move your mouse up high above it and he'll make that expression. For Canada, you get what you see above, for Japan, he just smiles with a little flower icon next to him. hope that helps
