Description Hey so I guess I'll show you guys what I've been up too~
I've been working with DarkmaneTheWerewolf on this cycle of Vex, and this is just a sketch of what I have so far...I'm actually going to be redrawing it, because there are quite a few glitches and things that I want improved, but I wanted to at least show you part of the process

Ooo, yet another excellent animation!! I really love the tail flick, and such a complex character too! He looks like a fun guy to play with

As for improvments, it looks like his legs lengthen a bit more than they should as he takes strides--his ankles end up in the wrong place, I think. This is an issue I have with my animation also, and what I've found that helps is using arcs to map out the joints. Like this image: idearocketanimation.com/wp-con…

Using arcs makes it easier to match up the joints so the legs don't extend and the joints don't shift too much!

Great work, I really like this one!! His tongue is really cute also, hehe~

Thanks! Yeah I'm actually working on fixing this walk, I want to make this neat and coloured, so I've been studying animal walks and anatomy so that when I redo this, it'll be more accurate

Yep, my animation book mentions arcs, that's something I'll be working with too, thanks

hehehe yeah this goof is a lot of fun to work with, I've animated him the most of all my characters

Do you have the Animators Survival Kit? That's the book I've been using. It's soooo good!

I have a Favorite playlist on YouTube of animal movements that I use for study! I also save cool vids and gifs from Tumblr into a ref folder on my desktop.

I'm sorry I can't help being hard on myself I Β had to grow up really fast and I kinda carry a lot of stupid shit around with me that makes me...well it's not that I'm not content, but like i said earlier, I want to really achieve something meaningful in my life art-wise, and I just feel really unsatisfied with the progression of the quality of my work. I have friends who are like 18 and already pros, and I feel like I'm missing out. Art is the only thing in my life that I'm really hard on myself for, but damn does it make up for everything else. Now that i'm in art school, and have my eye on an artistic career, I want to stand out, and admittedly, I push myself too far sometimes. I'm 20 years old for god's sake, but i feel like I still draw like a high school freshman
