I just made up a theory :
What if Davesprite is more of a douche than Dave because he is a little older than the original Dave and every feelings Dave is encoutering , Davesprite has already dealt with them . That would mean that Davesprite is literally the future Dave , emotionally andΒ physically . Dave is always in a state that Davesprite has already dealt with . If Davesprite becomes happy , Dave will eventually be happy . Even when they are in two different places . (WARNING SPOILERS HOMESTUCK ) Notice when davesprite breaks up with Jade on the battleship when they are trying to reach the alfa session . A little after that event , what do you see ? Dave breaks up with Terezi ! But there is another thing ,when Dave and Nepeta fuse together . Davepeta know that the Nepeta part had feelings for Karkat and the Dave part is ok with these feelings but what really makes this theory work is that even after the fusion , when Dave and Karkat begin to hang out together more and more , the Dave part of Davepeta is already "in good terms" with the feelings involving Karkat .
Man that's alot of "Dave" . What do you think ?
