Perhaps one of the more controversial characters of the Beast Era, I give you Nightscream. The fans will look up to me and shout "But why?!" and I will whisper back "Because I can..."

Seriously, though, I liked Nightscream. No, I did not feel he was emo and full of wangst, as given his situation, you'd fuckin' be the same way. He didn't trust anybody...for about three episodes, when he lightened up towards the others and simply filled in as the new kid in the group. Plus, he was about the closest thing to a standard from of "pretty" in the series, given the "alien beauty" it seemed to go for. And he was a frikkin' bat. Bats are awesome.

Anyhoo...for this Nightscream, I imagined a rookie on par with Cheetor at the beginning of Beast Wars. Just replace "overexcited" with "distracted". I'd also imagined him as the quiet one, since Cheetor is the loud and obnoxious sort already. (Yes...a sonic scream ability goes to the quiet one.) Add a bit of snarkiness to him, and that's basically what I imagined the original Nightscream was like before Beast Machines.

Design wise, I couldn't help it, I went for vampire. Cape, suit detailing, and a set of headphones that imitate the BM design's ears. He turned out similar to Animated Swoop's design, but his transformation is much different (and works! ), just leading to a similar robot mode.

"Let's get ready to make some noise!"

PS. To those I owe stuff, and who are probably getting impatient >.>;, gimme like...three more of these and I swear I'll get back on the ball. Scout's honor.
