Description
While Thomas was returning home after the celebration, his coaches spoke.
Annie: Skiff seemed really happy with his new job.
Clarabel: It was very kind of Thomas to defend him when the police thought he was Salior John's assistant.
Thomas: Well, I had to do it. It's as Gordon said. Friends help each other after all. And Skiff is my friend.
Annie: Yes. It was nice that you and Ryan finally became friends after everything you went through.
Thomas: Well, I think I just needed some pressure.
Thomas sighed.
Thomas: I tell you girls. I wasn't the same engine after that accident. I thought nobody here loved me anymore. All that torture and ignorance hurt my heart. Even after making new friends I thought it was worthless. But after Emily found me and Sir Topham Hatt apologized to me, I learned that not everyone in the world can be bad. But even if he scolds and tortures you, that doesn't mean he don't love you.
Clarabel: It's good to hear that Thomas. Every time you feel bad and alone, we want you to remember this. Some things in life are bad. Yeah, they can really make you mad. Other things just make your swear and curse.
Annie: But when you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble and give a whistle. And this will help things turn out for the best.
Clarabel: You must always look on the bright side of life when possible Thomas.
Thomas: Wow girls, those are some nice words. I don't know what I would do without you and the others.
Annie: And we don't know what we going to do without you Thomas.
With that, the thre friends returned home. Thomas was a very special tank engine for the North Western Railway. In the many years that his friends, old, current and new, had known him, there was a time when he did not know if he really fit the railway or if his real place was there. But now he knows that he really is there, and he still had the same friends who loved him and appreciated him for who and what he was, and still is.
Now he had a purpose and a legitimate life in Sodor, and now, with the new Branch Line that goes from Arlesburgh to Harwich, and without forgetting the new friends he made in York, he was ready to see how his life forged the way.
The End.
