There's something different about Julia's leg stump that we don't know about yet, but it requires her to change bandages kind of frequently. Whatever it is, it looks like it might be a pain to deal with. But she can make it through the school day without having to change out bandages, providing nothing strenuous happens to her as she refuses to let her missing leg keep her from being active physically... she just has to be careful, is all.
