I have to admit, I'm a little nervous putting this up, LOL!I've been wondering how I want to draw myself for ages; I've come across so many ideas but none of them seemed to fit. One day, however, I was sort of joking around to myself about my username, and drew up a picture of what I would look like if I really did have a dragon's face. And thus, this idea was born! I thought it would be pretty funny if my drawn-self lived up to her name by wearing a dragon mask, plus I don't really want to show my face on the Internet (either in a photograph or drawn) so this works quite well in that department, too. I'll be sticking with this for a long while, probably, until some change comes that would make me want a new avatar, like a new username/penname.
About the avatar herself, those clothes she's wearing aren't permanent; I don't want to plan a certain set of clothes she should always wear, because just like in the real world, she wears a different outfit every day. So whenever I draw her, she'll be wearing whatever outfit fits the situation.
And the dragon face IS a mask, not her actual face, lol XD.
Side note, as happy as I am to be using my markers again, I am RUSTYYYY -- the amount of marker bleeds in there is insane x_x. I don't really mind, though, I don't think it detracts from the overall effect.
Is it just me or is my art style becoming more expressive...?

I can't tell you how much of a good idea this is. It really makes you stick out among the other avatars. (All avatars seem to be the same these days, ya know?) And plus all characters should really have that one distinguishing characteristic, UGH THIS IS PERFECT.
I love it I love it I love it.
(Btw, the hands in that style = FABULOUS.)

I'm really glad you like it! And especially hearing you say that it "sticks out," I feel very confident in the character now! I know what you mean about all avatars being the same -- it seems to me that nowadays avatars are either 1) a punk/goth type or 2) a furry anthro. After a while, it kind of frustrates me. That's why it was so important for me to find an avatar that I just KNEW was right, and not fit a bunch of stereotypes onto it.

LMAO I love this XD I'm glad to see more art from you too, it doesn't seem like your marker skills are rusty! and I like how the blue contrasts with the pink. you're right, your art's becoming more expressive, I can see some of your personality in the way you draw.

Yeah, I admit I was just over-exaggerating about the marker skills thing. In reality, I was just being too lazy to keep myself from going over the lines, LOL! I'm really glad to hear you say that about the way I draw, because having personality and expression in my art is what I crave the most. And now that I'm becoming a better artist, I can start to finally put those in there.
