Jade looked surprised as the amulet began to float off the ground on its own. Light built up around it, like it was building up something. Jade realized what it might be and quickly grabbed a mirror and guarded herself before a beam went off and hit the mirror.

Beams bounced around the room as the amulet floated about, dodging Jade's attempts to grab it as it fired wildly. While Jade was lucky and managed to avoid getting hit, Toru, who had just arrived back and was preparing to sit down and get some paper work done, was NOT so lucky...
