DOWNLOAD FOR FULL SIZESo, I'm currently playing Tales of Vesperia. The game so full of controversy it's a wonder Namco have time to develope games after all that laughing to the bank they have to do.
But either way, as soon as I saw the main character I thought "That's Nexus =O"
And while Yuri has a different personality, I still consider him one of the most awesome characters ever, mostly due to his resemblance =3
But also, now, down to just how awesome he is in-game. Certainly a change from the usual whiney teenage coming-of-age protagonists we're spoon fed in these JRPGs.
So I couldn't let this go. And here's Nexus cosplaying as Yuri.
A slight change of art style too for this one. I wanted to try and make it similar to the game's cel shaded style. Forgive the generic background.
All the time I was colouring it I thought Nexus looked odd somehow, and only NOW have I twigged why. No goggles XD

As soon as I saw Yuri I knew I had to get the game. He just reminded me instantly of my character. Personalities don't fully match up, but there are aspects in there.

Being British, we get nearly 0 Tales games.
We got Symphonia 1 and 2 and Vesperia and...not much else.

geh? Well, I wouldn't blame you, since Legendia is a pretty old game (probably around Destiny or Innocence era), so not many people have heard of it. Abyss was born some time after Symphonia 1, and it follows a great story. As for Dawn of the New World, I've never played it, even though I have Emil as my dA icon hahaha.

Namco have a history of it though.
There are many Tales games that never escaped Japan. And there are loads of them that never made it to Europe, because Namco have this retarded notion in their heads that Europeans don't buy JRPGs.
They do have proof, though. ToV only sold 1000 copies in the first week in the UK.
Of course, that could be because they only sent 1000 copies to us...and never advertised it.
It makes you think they WANT their games to fail.

I think the outfit suits yer character very well. Especially how well detailed and colourful it looks. The background looks great too.

The sketch was incredibly detailed. It was only when I REALLY looked at Yuri after requesting it that I realised how detailed his costume is XD

You've adapted your style pretty well for this. I think the gold is the key point here. You got it looking just right and shiney without it standing out badly.

I thought it was too bright seeing the thumbnail at first, seemed kinda odd or weird. But seeing the full image I don't know how to put it other than "it works".

Well, for a start it took them 10 months to get it to Europe.
For a second, it was announced in the last couple of months there will be a PS3 version after stating during development this would be 360 only. This by itself is a lame reason to get annoyed, the fact it's coming with new characters, new artes, an expanded story, more dungeons, more towns, voice work for every cutscene and a whole host of gameplay tweaks and fixes just makes Xbox owners feel they were paying for a beta test of the game, rather than a finished and completed product.
Oh, and getting this as DLC has been denied.
