Adelle sighed softly, twirling her pencil in her hand absentmindedly. She should've been working on homework, but her mind wandered elsewhere; surprising, because Adelle was in the top ten percent at Rei Homoto and she took her studies very seriously. They were the only reason she was there to begin with. Her parents couldn't have afforded it if she hadn't gotten as many scholarships as she did.But nevertheless…
She made a face, her little game with the pencil coming to a halt. Something was wrong. Ever since she had walked in on Ming Ming and her boyfriend snogging, she had a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach…An empty feeling…
Sure. It was probably because she had skipped lunch to do research in the library, but there was more to it. That much she was certain.
Adelle jotted a couple notes onto her paper, not really paying attention to the letters on the page.
'I mean… Ming has a beau… Tajeia and Raiana could get any guy they want with those racks… and Karina could easily woo any sane man with her voice…'
She sighed again, laying her pencil flat on her desk. This whole boyfriend situation really wasn't doing any favors with her already-depressingly-low self-esteem.
