Description

As I grumbled and turned away from the blinding sunlight, my eyes fluttered open to the sight of the angry dragoness looming over me, her fiery gaze burning holes into my sleepy consciousness. With horns like daggers and teeth like swords, she was a sight to behold, though not exactly the morning company I had in mind.

"Come on, sleepyhead! Time to rise and shine," she growled, her voice echoing with irritation.

I groaned, rubbing my eyes and attempting to ignore her persistent prodding. "Can't a guy get a few more winks around here?" I muttered, my words muffled by the cozy embrace of my makeshift bed.

Her snort sent a puff of smoke curling through the air. "Nah, no can do, buddy. We're shackled together by some dumb magic spell, remember? You snooze, I wait. And trust me, I ain't a fan of you playing a Sleeping Beauty."

I sighed, knowing all too well the reality of our magical predicament. Ever since that cursed spell bound us together, I couldn't even enjoy a peaceful slumber without her looming over me like a relentless shadow.

"But the sun's too bright," I protested weakly, squinting against the intrusive rays.

She rolled her eyesβ€”or rather, her slitted reptilian pupilsβ€”dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, boo-hoo, Mr. Delicate. You think the sun gives a damn about your beauty sleep? Get up before I start gnawing on your toes."

I shuddered at the mental image and reluctantly dragged myself upright, throwing a disgruntled glance at my draconic companion. "Fine, fine. But if I'm a zombie today, it's all on you."

She chuckled, a sound that rumbled deep within her chest like distant thunder. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you're presentable enough to face the world. Can't have people thinking I've got a lousy companion, now can I?"

With a resigned sigh, I began to stumble towards the day, my grumpy companion at my side. As the sun climbed higher into the sky, I couldn't help but wonder if there were worse fates than being shackled to a dragoness with a penchant for early mornings and snarky remarks. Then again, maybe not.
