In my efforts to have a productive break, I've decided to at least tackle some just-for-fun projects. This project in particular , I've been trying to squeeze as many puns out of shippers as I can and hope to end up with something coherent at the end.

This started from my shipper badge , that has been selling pretty well at cons, and the end goal is to have some sort of Shipper Manual mini-comic.

Anyway, I had way too much fun with this! I haven't quite mapped out their world, but it's in a land where girls risk their lives and transverse great distances and obstacles to get their ships to their destinations. There are literal flame wars, BNFs are de facto leaders, and canon is a rare, mysterious, but highly prized substance. Some shippers resort to fanon as an acceptable substitute but there are also purists that mock its use.

At some point I decided that shippers would not only wield flamethrowers, but that some would be gifted with magical fire powers as well. Or at least in possession of a flame-coated weapon. Slashers could probably learn to wield other bladed weapons as they become more experienced.

Hopefully, this guilty pleasure of an idea will turn into something. The odd thing is I haven't shipped in years. It's probably more because I have a weakness for puns.
