Among the least temperamental of the first order, Sophie came into the power at the age of 8 and protected her home city of Oslo from the worst of the conflagration. Demons were still rooted out, but the population loss was only 40%. No other European cities faired as well. And when the conlfagration ended, and the breaking began, the rapidly encroaching glaciers forced an exodus southward. They trudged across the European Wasteland, the Mediterranean Swamps, dodging pyroclastic eruptions from numerous volcanos along the way. The details of that story have been turned into the epic "Sophin' Dhethan", (Sophie's Crossing) among the greatest of the classics, and the first such work to ever be completed after the breaking.

Upon finding the Sahara incredibly temperate, she trudged on until they came to an inland sea that had recently formed. She recorded the following in her message to Sa'Varin about finding the location of Atldor.

"Kadoma velin ke atldor, loketha i nuvena alinde. Te rhuarc echeyn, acaralinde solinde atl. Komein ba'alzamon, mar'atlin Atldor, cyndane atl, der'morat'raken ve'aduan."
Translated back into English:
"We have found a most pleasant place. The earth's movement has created three great circles that can only be reached by water. They are so vast they can only be seen from the mountaintops. We will settle on the edges, but plan to take full advantage of this place's natural defense by settling the innermost circle first. Tomorrow, I will use the Power to construct bridges so that we may begin. I suggest the name Atldor, for it is a city truly immersed in the sea. But as always, I defer to your wisdom in the naming of our new homes."
