I like this quite a bit, Essy and it might be because it's also a fear of mine.

It depends on how you look at it. What do you feel when you look at this drawing?

Well, as another commenter mentioned, it could be seen as a large crack underneath the cliff, or a steep roadway alongside the mountain. I see it more as the roadway and steep roads with no guard rails make me apprehensive.

Okay, that's very interesting! Thanks for the quick reply! I'm trying to find out more about my inner self in this school project. Those last five charcoal drawings I uploaded were drawn from intuition instead of planning. I hope to learn about myself by looking at them and analyse.

I liked them all, but "Big Fear" was the one I could most identify with. Be careful not to read too much into your analysis.

Thank you for the warning! I know my charcoal works can look very dark and depressing, but I'm passionate about what I draw. Things that look sad at first sight can also be deep fascinations. Since I was a child I had this weird fascination for the extinction of humans on the planet. And recently I found out that almost all of my charcoal works show a strong absence of humans. I'm not scared about such things. Sometimes it's as if everything falls into place in my drawings.

I agree that the notion of an earth devoid of humans is very interesting. There is even a Discovery Channel series on what would happen if humans would disappear.

As you know, I like dark works of art and especially if they contain psychological musings.

Yes, I've heard of this artist! Isn't she the beautiful young lady with the trademark red hair?
