If you have an issue with Kazookie's name spelling, just know I was ten years old and knew nothing about Japanese. It's what my friend wanted to name her and I didn't know how to spell it.

Because I wasn't even four years old yet, and my parents counted off family members on their hands, but the thumb wasn't taken up, so when they asked who the thumb was, being a toddler, I just answered "that's Thumb!". So the hamster, that they'd just bought for me was named "Thumb".

And that, is how I got a hamster named Thumb. Later, a guinea pig named "Scruffy".
