Description Mordo looked at the bundle of fur in his paws joyfully. A grin plastered to his face as he took in every detail of the cub. It gazed back at him, golden eyes staring curiously at the scarred old lion.
"Isn't he perfect?" Mordo breathed out a contented sigh, his voice travelling quietly through the hushed cave. Thinking he was alone he was surprised to hear the padding of heavy paws behind him.
"Oh, good evening Tacho." he whispered, blissfully aware of the cub in his arms drifting off to sleep. His right-paw, Tacho, stood over his lazy frame, looking at the infant with a frown.
"You know he wont replace the ones you've lost sire..." his eyes softened as he looked at his leader. Mordo shut his eyes and wrinkled his face in pain.
"I know. But he needs me." he spoke tenderly as he rested his head protectively over the cub. "Besides, he's perfect." he whispered as he closed his eyes and joined the cub in a nap. Tacho looked distressingly at his leader and sighed before trotting out of the cave. He would let his King have his rare moment of joy, things like that were so hard to come by. With a smile he though to himself, maybe things will get better after all.

just a bit of a pic and writing I whipped up.
