Wind roars. Thunder echos. Dense clouds billow, dragging with them a tornado. The horses shy, but don’t run, as though they feel compelled to hang about.
There’s something wrong about this storm. Something big trails in the vortex, and bright lights float in the clouds. Artifacts of the imagination, or something else entirely? It’s only on the horizon, so what harm is there in watching it for a bit?
The cloud blooms with a brilliant glow of lightning. It’s short and sweet, but boy, was it all that was needed. A creature of incomprehensible size hangs within. A head decorated with numerous glowing eyes and a gaping jaw attached to a body of tendrils that slowly pulsate like a distorted jellyfish. A cloud-like substance clings to said tendrils with the consistency of a gel as light as air.
Is the creature benevolent or malevolent? Is this its first showing? Is it even the only one of its kind? No matter — a single sighting will break a mind as much as the storm tears up the earth.
