Well. Yeah. I'd rather let this speak for itself. But I don't think I can.I want you all to remember this. My Erik is deformed in the world of Black Nostalgia. He's different. His major deformity lies in his mind. He's not mentally stable. I don't know which version it is, but there was one Erik out there that wasn't deformed at all. But he was completely insane. I think that was the rats in the pants guy. But I dunno. That's not the point. Go easy, you guys. It took me forever to get my Erik the way I wanted him. So now you know what lies under that mask. . . But then again. This was a long time ago. What changes could've happened in over twenty years?

I saw this page again for the first time a few weeks ago. And I hated that third panel. So I redid it.
Also added some drapery to the background. Which I'll be doing to the rest of the pages in this scene.

Your version of Erik would have to be my favorite of any version I have seen. You brought such a humanity to him, but also an alluring virility to his character also.

Your version of Erik, with the rich background you have created so intricately for him, it resonates such a deep soulfulness in him. I seldom see such tragedy balance with the right amount of pathos in a character as you have achieved with Erik.
Also, I confess find anything wolf-like extremely sublime, so a wolf-like version Erik was simply a dream long waiting to come true!
He is my ultimate favorite, even more than Kay's at time! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah! One Phantom of the Opera idea was that he was traumatized by a war or something, and he thinks his face is deformed but it's not and he's just unstable in every way. And personally the scales aren't a weak (if that's the right choice of words) deformity at all. Remember it's in the 1800s not much could be explained back then. Poor Eriks deformity was probably best explained by a demon touching him on the face before birth or something evil like that. Good job by the way

I was very worried when I came up with the idea for Erik's deformity. I didn't know how everyone would react to it. But then I remembered that Erik's been deformed in many different ways before. But people seems to like it all so far. And I'm glad you do, too. Thank you for the wonderful comments!

I think it's unique giving him scales. Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical changed Erik's deformity to make it easier for the actors to sing. I found out what Lon Chaney did to look creepy, and I don't think he could talk what so ever(good thing he didn't have to
