Do you know what this is? No, not a Hivewing, an excuse to write an essay about the third arc!
The third arc is my favorite arc, and I don’t like the amount of hate it gets. Yes, it has flaws that I would fix and things I would change, but I overall like it and here’s why: first of all, it’s a whole new continent with three whole new tribes. And that is something I have been WAITING FOR since I first started reading the series in fourth grade. I remember hoping that the book the hidden kingdom would have a new tribe introduced but alas no. When I first heard about the lost continent, I was SO HYPED YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW. So while the new tribes thing is something a lot of people criticize, it is by far one of my favorite things about the arc. Also my favorite character(guess it and you get a free headshot) was introduced in this arc and I could gush about them but I won’t cause I don’t wanna give it away. My favorite ship, Sunlow, was also introduced in this arc. Also, I’m such a sucker for dystopian worlds, and it’s always interesting to see why they are the way they are and this was SO UNIQUE and SO CREATIVE I mean 1. When else has there ever been a dragon dystopia, 2. All the trees almost everywhere are cut down which is interesting and also MIND CONTROL WHAT and god I swear I could gush about this arc forever. All the protagonists are great no matter what you say, there’s some really great plot twists*cough cough the Leafwings giving Wasp the mind control powers and Hawthorn being possessed cough cough* and also I understand why some people don’t really like humans being introduced, but all in all I think they get way more hate than they deserve. And come on the scorching lore was cool and people need to start doing stuff with that. And I’m going to stop talking now before I spend 3 hours writing about this arc. This concludes my essay on why anyone who complains about the third arc in any way will personally insult me.
