Not much is known about Astrid just that she was found with the body of her twin sister at the bottom of a mining shaft. Orphaned and alone She was taken in by the chieftain of Landow as a servent to his house. Through her tenacity and fierce loyalty to the chieftian's heir, Alek, she soon went from simple servent to protector and guard.

Astrid displays a peculiar talent for rune and light manipulation. With her sword Suspension her defenses are almost impenetrable.
