Description
Playing with some different workflow ideas and a new texture for maya's suit. I will keep experimenting with outlining the characters, but so far I really like it because it gives me a chance to really draw expressions and separate the characters from the background.These accessories will go over Maya's muscle suit but my computer did not like me doing that so I just did a simple test with this minus the muscle suit. Bonus points if you know the character reference for the arm bands

I don't remember exactly but I think about an hour and a half. I am working on finding a way to get images out pretty quick, and I ran into some snags on this one.

It's amazing that you were able to give her suit a kind of metalicy look to it, like a shimmering snake or something. Looks great!

This rocks, bro. I'm digging the smug look on her face and the misfits hair - great look for a female character. I think the pouches on her hips would look more militaristic and, maybe add something of the unfeminine, if they were done up larger and bulkier on a broader belt with some kind of ballistic plastic buckle in the middle.
Just my .02 - the yellowish texture on the scales really sells it.

Thanks! I like the yellow reflections on the texture of her suit too. This is just a partial concept done in my continual effort to find the look of my graphic novel. I feel I am getting really really close.
